The nervous system, the digestive system and the circulatory system are all closely interrelated in the pathogenesis of headaches.

Common etiology is related to pressure on nerve plexus opposite of the pneumogastric center, which reflexively transmits pressure to the brain as a headache. This is primarily due to inadequate eliminations.
