There are several factors in the genesis of diverticular disease of the colon, a pouch like out-pocketing consisting of mucosa and serosal layers. These can be sourced back to lesions occurring after abdominal surgery or poor eliminations resulting as dyssynergy of autonomic nervous system.

Therapy:

•Castor oil pack for 4 hours every day, and half a teaspoon of Olive taken every two hours of treatment.

•Colonic - two per week after 3rd day of castor oil pack

•Senna laxative to maintain regularity
